After years of running demanding day-to-day workshop operations, I kept coming back to the same problem. Bookings, jobs, technicians, parts, authorisations, customer updates and invoicing were spread across different systems and conversations. Keeping the day moving meant too much chasing.
Who's on that job? What are we waiting on? Has the customer approved it? Has it been invoiced?
I decided to create the system I needed to run the workshop: one place to see the job, what it needed and what should happen next. As we brought that work together, I recognised that other independent garages were dealing with the same questions.
That became TorqueOS. It exists today to help independent workshops run the day — from booking and job records to estimates, invoices, payment recording and customer communication.
